Martinicup

The Martinicup is the annual tournament of the Go Club Groningen. In 2025 we’re playing on the weekend of 11-12 October.

The tournament will be held at the Erasmusschool (Van Heemskerckstraat 56, 9726 GM Groningen). There will be cheap food & drinks available at the location. On Saturday evening, we will eat together (optional)

Lunch is included in the registration fee

We have a a number of free parking spaces available, at the venue. If you want to use one of those places, please contact us in advance.

Format: 4 rounds McMahon, time limits 45 minuten + 15s Fischer time
Entry fee: € 25,00 (one day € 12,50)
Discount: € 5,00 discount for youth (under 18) or students.
Accommodation: Free at one of our members if you preregister (bring your own sleeping bag and mattress).

11:15 – 12:15 — Registration + Lunch

12:15 – 15:00 — Round 1 of the McMahon tournament
15:00 – 17:30 — Round 2 of the McMahon tournament
18:00 – 20:00 — Dinner (optional, own cost)

Sunday

10:15 – 12:45 — Round 3 of the McMahon tournament
12:30 – 13:15 — Lunch
13:15 – 15:45 — Round 4 of the McMahon tournament
16:00 – 16:30 — Prizegiving and lottery

From the train station, it is about 1,5km meters walking distance to the playing venue, or you can take a bus
